· Harmonization of quality documents of Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone for implementation and accreditation as per the international organization for standardization (this includes but not limited to ISO9001 for all departments and ISO17025 for the laboratory)

· Ensure continual improvement of all processes to meet national and international best practices and customer satisfaction through the use of robust measures of review and assessment.

In a letter to healthcare professionals, including Doctors, Pharmacists, Pharm Techs, Nurses and CHOs, the Registrar of the Pharmacy Board, Wiltshire C.N. Johnson, has encouraged all health care professionals and consumers to closely monitor patients under their care and report any suspected treatment failure using the PBSL’s Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) Reporting Form in their facilities.

He wrote that all adverse reactions to medicines, vaccines, food supplements, herbals, traditional medicines and medical devices should be reported to the National Pharmacovigilance Centre, Pharmacy Board of Sierra Leone, Central Medical Stores Compound, New England Ville Freetown.

The adverse drug reaction form can be downloaded from the Pharmacy Board website, or reported online by clicking the Report an ADR on the PBSL website.
